Loon Glass Mosaic Art

The colour tones in this mosaic reminds one of a quiet still evening on a lake, the border is finished in a forest green for a more subtle look. The loon is created using handpainted details on black stained glass. 

Hand cut opaque stained glass mosaic. My mosaic wall art pieces start out as sketches that I use to make stencil designs. The stencil sections are traced onto opaque stained glass for cutting. I hand cut each piece of glass that is then painstakingly adhered to wood panels that I have cut, sanded and stained. The finished art is then grouted and hooked for display. This piece measures 14x10inches (35.5x30 cm).
